Q. How do you know when you have Low Self Esteem?
A. By the way you feel or behave.
When you can’t get out of bed or face the world. When you slam doors and shout at people.
When you drive yourself hard to get through the day. When you can’t look yourself in the eye.
When you put your needs last. When you believe that your opinion is of no value.
When you feel flat and stuck in a rut. When you pretend you are OK.
When you choose to be a martyr. When you blame.
When you don’t like yourself. When you are angry.
When you have forgotten about You. When you feel sorry for yourself.
When love is something you fear.
Remember nobody will ever treat you as badly as the way you treat yourself.
Q. Why would One to One be helpful?

Q. Where do my beliefs come from?
A. Beliefs come from old memories and all the information that the brain has digested from them.
We hold on to our memories and beliefs in our mind and body.
They are important to us.
They are the way we identify with ourselves.
They are our stories.
They are our interpretations and how we have viewed life.
After interpretation and viewing we add meaning and over time these meanings become beliefs.Beliefs that are held negatively over a long period of time can become limiting.There is a restriction on our freedom because of the beliefs we hold on to. These beliefs are at the core of why our life is as it is. Sometimes we carry our memories and beliefs like heavy bags of coal. They are our validation, our proof as to why our lives are not the way we want them to be. We love having stories to share and identify with.
For Example, you get on the wrong train.
Interpreted/viewed as a bad thing
The meaning : ‘I’m stupid.’
Every time the memory comes up so does the meaning you put on it and it becomes a belief. It becomes part of our brains hard wiring and every time we get on a train the old belief of ‘I’m stupid’ gets to replay. Even if it’s not in our conscious mind .This has a negative effect on our Self Esteem.
Q. Are all beliefs negative?
A. No not at all.
It very much depends on the way you have interpreted / viewed the moment or the event.
Looking at the previous Example, ‘Getting on the wrong train’
Interpreted: ‘What an adventure.’
The meaning: How exciting’.
Low Self Esteem is apparent when our belief system has been interpreting negatively. High Self Esteem is apparent when our belief system has been interpreting openly without attachment and positively.
